As I mentioned in “about me”, I am a divorced mother. In this economy and needing the lost income, I need to work and working from home is ideal for me.  I know many people (both mother’s and father’s) who are always looking for ways to make money online. Some need the extra money because of cut hours at work, some who aren’t working at all due to layoff’s, hard to find jobs, and need to find ways just to get something coming in.

 If you go to Google and type in any variation of “ways to make money online” , or “how can I make money online”, “make money fast” and any other combination, you will come up with hundreds of thousands of links giving you every single get rich doing this, or make money doing this site there is.

Some links are scams and some are legit. There aren’t any ways to simply get rich quick.  You can however find many ways to make money online that are legitimate and some are pretty easy.  Others require a bit of work, but it can be done! 

Forget Data Entry right off the bat. Most of those are not real. I am also not one for surveys although there are many that are legit as well. Yes, I have tried them but they take an awful lot of time.  Nor do I believe in anything that claims you can get rich quick or any that say you have to pay tons of money to learn how to make money.

The sites below I have tried myself or have family and friends who use them. Some of these you may already know about, but for those who are just starting out or are unsure, I thought I’d list as many as possible.

Some of these do cost a little bit of money, most do not. I have tried to mark each to note if they do cost anything. But if they are listed below, please take a minute and visit the sites. They are all well worth at least visiting and seeing what they are about. You never know, they may be just what you are looking for.

Oh this is going to be a long post! I have a habit of writing tons to get all the possible info in I can. And I will probably add to this as I think of more, so check back!

Rebates/Cash Back

This is not necessarily “make money online” exactly, but you can easily make some extra cash doing what we all do, and that is shopping.  If you shop online, and even if you don’t. It is well worth joining these two sites listed below. Each site gives you cash back rebates for shopping online, or in stores near your home.  Since this is something we do anyways, I thought it was worth mentioning because who can’t use a little extra cash from every source possible? 
For instance, I bought a TV recently, it was on sale, not only did I use a coupon for a discount on top of the sale, I also got a double cash back rebate which came to 75.00.  So after the sale, discount coupon and rebate check, I saved 180.00 on the TV. Plus getting the 75 dollar check in the mail a couple weeks later was nice too!  So, here you go:

Upromise.com *Free to join, click image- UPromise is similar to ShopAtHome, except that you can use your accumulated savings towards 529 college funds, towards a student loan or even to have a check issued.  They also have a section to input all of your grocery store savings cards so items purchased in stores also add to your earnings. They too have coupons (even ecoupons that you can add directly to your grocery store cards) and offer special shopping deals and earnings.   I mainly use this for all of my grocery shopping earnings, add ecoupons to my cards, and always check both here and shopathome to see where I can save the most and/or get the best rebate/cash back.

Both are worth joining as both have many uses and offer great rebates and any savings or checks in the mail are always nice to receive.

 

Websites:

Amazon Affiliate Program- Free to Join. You can advertise Amazon products on your webpage or create an entire self contained AStore within your website, show latest deals, wish lists and more, right on your website. What I like to do is create a niche site, but also create an “AStore” with products associated with that niche and link to it. For example, what if you created a blog about your favorite small kitchen appliances? You can then create an AStore with books, and products related to small kitchen appliances.

Shop or Create What’s On Your Mind at CafePress At CafePress you can create and sell a variety of customizable products with zero upfront costs and zero inventory investment. You can set up a Free Basic Shop to sell your products in.

Squidoo, Blogger, Wordpress, Hubpages, (*you can also make moneyat Hubpages by refering other hubs) Wetpaint- All free to use to create mini sites on.

*those are just a few ideas. One idea-You can sign up for some Store Affiliate programs, (you will find most in the affiliate networks listed below), and then create mini niche sites with stores attached, or just offer a few specfic products

Make Money Writing:

AssociatedContent.com Free to join and is a “get paid to write” site. You can submit any type of content which includes articles, videos, and images on any topic. Articles pay about $1-$20. and you also receive “performance payments” which as of the date of this post, pays $1.50 for every one thousand page views it receives.

Earn money generated by your articles. Write for Examiner.com. - the insider source for everything local and covers more than 100 major U.S. cities, thousands of towns and neighborhoods, and is even developing  strong presence in international markets including Canada, the U.K., the Philippines and Australia. Free to join.

About.Com Guide- Free to apply. About.com Guides are freelancers who work online and set their own schedules.

Redgage.com- RedGage is a website that pays you for content you create. Upload your blogs, photos, videos, articles, or links and start making money. Free to Join

Affiliate Marketing:

Affiliate Marketing- Affiliate Marketing is an “easy” way to make money online. You sign up with companie to promote their products.  (See Affiliate Networks to join below) You do not need a website and can promote products by article marketing, creating squidoo lenses, hub pages or blogger blogs.   If you are new and unsure about article marketing or where to start, a great program called 4 Day Money Making Blueprint  is an easy step by step guide available to get you started. *this does cost a bit of money.

 Make Money with Your Pictures:

I have read there are many sites you can upload your own pictures to and get paid for this. I have never personally done this so cannot say how it works, but it is an option if you are a photographer or have alot of pictures on your hardrive.

Call Center Customer Service Work at Home

 Arise-Arise offers opportunities for work in technical support, sales, and customer service with some of the most exciting companies in America. For this company you do have to pay to take a certification course.  Arise is very well known, has been on the news and can be researched online and you will find it is absolutely legitimate. You can get more information on their website.

West At Home- Is similar to Arise. You also work at home and they too are very well known. They have many major corporations that they hire at home employees for customer service, phone calls, etc. for. Visit their website for more information.

For any of these types of jobs, working at home in customer service, call center or for major corporations. I recommend you join the forums at workplacelikehome .  They have massive amounts of information not only on the above two companies, but also on the companies that are represented by them, if there are any problems with any of them, the easiest ones to work for, and also any other types of jobs that are similar to these that are available.  They also offer a section of scams which is very helpful.

This is another option if you are not interested in affiliate marketing, or even if you are, it is an additional way to add more income to your home.

And lastly I will mention CashCrate.

You may have heard about them or read about them.  They are one of the most trusted and legitimate online sites for making money doing mini survey’s, answering quick questions,trying offers, getting freebies or joining websites.  They have a forum with members who share all their tips and tricks for making  money with CashCrate and I would read there first-the information you receive will help you to make everything much easier and quicker.  Some of the long time members share how much they make daily or monthly, and also give tips on what they do to make this easier.
