This is so off the topic but I have been working on Holiday stuff today and it is on my mind.

While I am thinking about it, I wanted to share with you some great places for shopping and ideas for gifts.

I know money this year is tight for everyone. I have looked online for ideas for different types of gifts this year and came up with some cute gift basket ideas that you can do on your own. Or flower vases but without the flowers, instead using candies, cookies, and toys or a gift card in the center.
Presenting a gift in a unique way makes it all the more special.

I recently gave a gift card to a sports store. Instead of just putting it in a card or box, I made candies of different sports things (balls, bats, hockey sticks, helmets, etc.) and attached them to lollipop sticks. I then got a small colored vase, (anything would work depending on your theme or ideas) put some marbles in it, stuck the candie sticks in, attached the gift card to a stick with tape and put it in the center, then just wrapped some curled ribbon around the top. It turned out fabulous and was a cheap and unique way to give a gift card to my nephew.

There are many options for gift baskets, jars, boxes with toys and more that are inexpensive and unique that can be created by you. There are also some great ideas that do cost some money, but are also “different”, if you are out of ideas of what to buy. I will be posting some links to some gifts I found recently that I thought were different, as well as some sites offering some cool ideas for do it yourself ideas for gift giving as well.

A Couple of Sites I thought I’d share:
