Santa Letters

For The Holidays!

All of us can remember a time, maybe not too long ago, when just the mere thought that Santa Claus could exist created a gut wrenching level of excitement impossible to duplicate.

Can you remember what it’s like to not be able to sleep just thinking about what Santa Claus was going to leave under your Christmas tree? If not, just ask your children or grandchildren…because they know.

Gift Ideas

I will be moving my gift ideas to another website but linking from here. As you can tell I do love crafty things and get carried away with it. I decorate cakes, make fun little gift giving packages so things are unique, anything to do with crafts, I try. Baby Showers, Weddings, favors, cards, anything, I’ve done it all.

I have a great book I downloaded that I wanted to share. It shows some great ways to create “edible” gifts. With this you can also come up with your own creative ideas on ways to give gifts such as the tickets I recently gave with the cookies (although I came up with that myself), or perhaps something in the book will catch your eye and give inspiration on a gift for someone, or an addition to a gift for someone. Or even a centerpiece for a party, a hostess gift, anything.

It does offer the option of doing this for fun or your own business. Me, I do it for fun. I do not have my own business of creating these for people. I have made many cakes for others, blankets, favors, etc. but not as a business. I just did it …..well…..just because..lol. But yes, you can absolutely create a “mini biz” doing this. Possiblities are always endless in anything.

Candy Boquet Book

Candy Boquet Book

233 page step-by-step Guide “How to Make Candy Bouquets for Fun and Profit”

The book is about Candy Boquets, but you can alter anything and make it your own. (like I did with the cookies in the post below.) Here is a great idea from the book

Cookie Vase Gift

My Football Ticket Gift Idea

My cookie vase

Another quick idea I wanted to share while I thought of it then back to the original reason for my blog.

I recently made this vase for the man I am seeing.. it was quick and easy and a unique way to give him tickets to see his favorite college football team. I didn’t want to just put them in a card so instead I made little football player cookies. I then decorated them with cookie icing in the colors of the football players uniforms. Added lollipop sticks, pebbles in the vase, some ribbon (couldn’t find red and white), and here it is. A quick cute way to give the tickets-plus he got to eat the cookies!

Christmas

This is so off the topic but I have been working on Holiday stuff today and it is on my mind.

While I am thinking about it, I wanted to share with you some great places for shopping and ideas for gifts.

I know money this year is tight for everyone. I have looked online for ideas for different types of gifts this year and came up with some cute gift basket ideas that you can do on your own. Or flower vases but without the flowers, instead using candies, cookies, and toys or a gift card in the center.
Presenting a gift in a unique way makes it all the more special.
